MGP Ingredients,
Inc. – a leading producer of distilled spirits
and food ingredients headquartered in Atchison, Kan. – recently
announced Matt Krusemark will take on the role of
vice president of sales for the Distilling Solutions segment of the company at
the start of 2023.
Krusemark will succeed David
Dykstra, who recently announced plans to retire
Dec. 31 after more than 30 years with MGP. The two are working closely to
ensure the transition goes smoothly.
With extensive knowledge of the
company’s alcohol business, the newly named vice president has taken on several
roles since starting in 2005 as an inside sales and customer service
representative. Between that and his upcoming role, he was promoted to inside sales
manager, alcohol sales manager and alcohol sales director.
“Matt knows our business inside
and out,” Dykstra shared. “I’m confident he will continue the customer-focused
approach that has helped grow MGP’s influence in the distilled spirits industry
during the past decade. I couldn’t be happier to turn the reins over to him.”
MGP
President and CEO Dave Colo is also pleased with
growth he has seen – both from Krusemark and the company as whole as it has
branched out over the years.
“Matt has grown along with the
business as MGP evolved from an industrial alcohol supplier to a leading
producer of spirits for customers ranging from crafts to multinational
operations,” said Colo. “We are thrilled to announce his promotion and look
forward to his sales leadership in our largest and most profitable business
segment.”
Krusemark received a Bachelor of Business Administration
degree in marketing from Kansas State University in 2004 and an MBA from
Benedictine College in 2005. He is a native of Atchison.
