The Kansas Business Hall of Fame (KBHF) is currently seeking nominations of individuals for induction to be submitted no later than July 1. The KBHF recognizes outstanding leadership and excellence in the business world including business success, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy.
The KBHF inducts contemporary (living) and historical (deceased) Kansans who have distinguished themselves through notable achievements over a sustained career.
“It’s important for the public to be aware of the contributions these honorees have made to our state,” said KBHF Executive Director John Rich. “They are an inspiration to the next generation. Many of the honorees started from meager means, but there is an opportunity to do great things. They inspire people to do more than they otherwise would have.”
Kansas was built upon the foundations of visionary leaders, pioneering entrepreneurs, and innovative businesses. The KBHF stands as a testament to the legacy of these remarkable individuals, honoring their achievements and inspiring future generations. With nominations now open, it is time to celebrate excellence and acknowledge those who have shaped Kansas’ community.
“We’re looking for people in business who have made a positive contribution to society,” Rich said. “There are a lot of big names in Kansas that have made a lot of money, and most of them are in the KBHF, but that isn’t the only criteria for the KBHF. Financial success isn’t necessarily what we’re looking for unless the person has made an overall positive contribution to society.”
Nominating deserving individuals for induction into the KBHF provides an opportunity to celebrate their contributions and promote the importance of economic development in the state.
If you know someone who has made a significant impact on Kansas’ business community, seize the opportunity to nominate them for the Kansas Business Hall of Fame and help honor their legacy.
