The Adecco Group recently earned the Military Spouse Friendly Employer No. 1 ranking in its revenue category. This year’s Military Spouse Friendly Employers list will be published in the 2024 Winter issue of Military Spouse Magazine.
With offices in Lawrence, Topeka, Wichita, and Kansas City, Adecco serves as a world leader in workforce solutions.
According to Joyce Russell, president of The Adecco Group Foundation, the recognition of Military Spouse Friendly Employer reflects the global staffing company’s dedication to the military spouse community.
“For 21 years, the Adecco Group has proudly served the military spouse community inside and outside of our workplace,” Russell said. “As we celebrate this milestone, we are doubling down on our commitment to invest in the education and employment needs of the military spouse talent. Their service and skill are invaluable, and we know firsthand the positive impact these talented individuals have on America’s business community.”
Recipients of the Military Spouse Friendly Employer award recognize how crucial it is to support military spouses and dependents at work. They often host military-themed socials, celebrate military holidays, and offer support programs tailored for military families. These employers create a positive trend toward inclusive environments and acknowledge the unique contributions of military spouses and dependents within the corporate landscape.
“We celebrate and honor employers who proudly bear the badge of Military Spouse Friendly Employer,” said Military Friendly Director of Military Partnerships Kayla Lopez. “These forward-thinking organizations not only recognize the sacrifices military spouses make but also embrace the invaluable contributions they bring to the workforce. Being designated as Military Spouse Friendly is not just an award, it’s a commitment to fostering a workplace culture that appreciates resilience, adaptability, and unwavering dedication.”
The Military Spouse Friendly Employer list is the benchmark for gauging an organization’s dedication, effort, and achievements in providing valuable and lasting support to the military community.
Established in 2003, only 15 organizations vied for the Military Friendly designation in its first year. In 2024 that number climbed to more than 1,500.
